Ratio Eight S2 Bloom or Brew Light Flashing Indefinitely
If your Ratio Eight Series 2 isn't moving any water when trying to start a brew cycle, and the light cycle is stuck on Bloom or Brew, this is something our warranty technicians would need to address as a repair.
The result of this is likely a blown heater fuse, something that wouldn't allow the heater to heat the water. This fuse is a built-in safety feature that cuts power to the heater if it detects overheating, protecting your machine from further damage. Overheats like this are most often linked to excess mineral scale buildup inside the machine. How often do you descale your machine? We recommend a monthly descaling routine using a liquid descaling solution designed for drip coffee makers. Our descaling instructions can be found here.
