Troubleshooting issues with your Ratio Six Thermal Carafe

Trapped water / Water leaking from the base or rim

Are you experiencing water leaking from the base or near the rim of your carafe? Don't worry, your carafe has not sprung a leak, and the solutions to resolve this issue and avoid it in the future are easy to accomplish in your own home.

The double insulated walls of the Ratio Six Thermal Carafe are protected by an outer wall to shield them from shocks that might otherwise compromise the seal. The external walls are not airtight like the internal walls and can absorb water when submerged or held under running water for an extended period of time. 

If you are experiencing this issue, the water can be drained by tipping the carafe at an angle and allowing it to rest, or following the instructions at the bottom of this help article to open up your carafe and speed up the process. To avoid experiencing this issue again in the future, we suggest following the cleaning instructions in the article above to keep your carafe sparkling clean.
